Pink coneflowers lean at every angle across the frame, their drooping petals and bright orange centers set against a rich, textured backdrop of plum and umber. The composition itself tilts within its border, echoing the playful angles of the stems.
Developed in the studio with an aged, painterly surface, the piece feels both vintage and whimsical. Nothing here stands perfectly straight, and that is its charm: a celebration of wildflowers that grow exactly as they please.
