Workshop Policies

Enrollment, cancellation, weather, and participation policies for Carol Fox Henrichs Photography & Art workshops and classes.

Guided Cohorts

Guided cohorts may have cancellation, refund, transfer, and participation terms that differ from those for individual workshops. The specific terms published on each cohort's enrollment page apply to that cohort and take precedence over these general workshop policies. Please review those terms before registering.

Minimum Enrollment

To keep workshops both sustainable and personal, a minimum number of participants is required for each class.

  • Most workshops require a minimum of 4–5 registered participants.
  • If minimum enrollment is not met 72 hours before the workshop begins, the workshop may be rescheduled or canceled.

If I cancel due to low enrollment, you may choose either:

  • A full refund, or
  • A credit/transfer into another available workshop.

Cancellations & Refunds (Participant-Initiated)

Because workshop spots are limited and your registration reserves your place, the following cancellation policy applies:

  • 14 or more days before the workshop:
    • You may request a full refund or transfer your registration to another workshop (subject to availability).
  • 7–13 days before the workshop:
    • You may transfer your registration to another workshop date or receive a credit to use within 12 months.
    • Refunds are not guaranteed at this stage.
  • Less than 7 days before the workshop or no-shows:
    • No refunds are available.
    • You may send someone in your place if you notify me in advance with their name and email.

If you need to cancel, please contact me as soon as possible so I can offer your spot to someone on the waitlist.

Instructor Cancellations

In the rare event that I must cancel a workshop (for example, due to illness, emergency, or venue issues), you will receive:

  • The option of a full refund, or
  • A transfer/credit into another workshop of your choice.

I am not responsible for any non-refundable travel or accommodation expenses.

Weather Policy (Outdoor / On-Location Workshops)

For outdoor sessions (such as garden, park, or nature-based workshops):

  • Light rain or overcast skies often provide beautiful shooting conditions, and the workshop may proceed as planned with appropriate clothing and gear.
  • In the event of severe weather, lightning, unsafe travel conditions, or park closures, the workshop may be:
    • Rescheduled to a new date, or
    • Moved to a modified format (such as an online critique/demo session).

If a weather-related cancellation occurs and you cannot attend the rescheduled date, you may request a refund or credit toward another workshop. If I am unable to reschedule I will offer you a full refund.

Online Workshop Etiquette & Tech

For online classes and cohorts:

  • A reliable internet connection and basic familiarity with Zoom (or the specified platform) are required.
  • Please join a few minutes early to test your audio/video so we can begin on time.
  • If you experience local connectivity issues, refunds are not guaranteed, but I will do my best to provide summary notes or key resources so you can still benefit from the material.

Recordings, if made available, are for registered participants only and may not be shared publicly.

General Courtesy

Whether online or in person, workshops are intended to be supportive, respectful learning environments. I reserve the right to remove any participant who is disruptive or disrespectful, without refund.
