Carol is there with you
Every session is live on Zoom and led by Carol: a mix of short teaching and hands-on practice, with honest questions answered in plain language.
30 days. Three Thursday evenings with Carol.
A small-group journey to seeing, shaping, and creating with light, using 30 Days of Light as your guide. Short prompts on your own, live conversation together, and a gentle place to ask the questions you have been wondering about.
Bring a DSLR or mirrorless camera that lets you change basic settings—gear is not the focus.

The cohort turns the daily prompts of 30 Days of Light into a supportive, creative journey. You complete short exercises on your own, then meet on Thursday evenings to share images, ask questions, and explore how light shapes mood, emotion, and storytelling.
It is not a gear comparison, a jargon-filled lecture, or a competition. It is a place to practice, with other people who are practicing too.
A judgment-free space for questions and works in progress.
The 30 Days of Light Guided Cohort is a small-group, live online experience built around the book. Three Thursday evening gatherings on Zoom, 6:00–7:30 p.m. Central: June 3, June 10, and June 17, 2027. Carol leads every session. You work through short prompts from 30 Days of Light on your own time, then bring what you noticed to the group. Each session is recorded and available to participants for downloading. A PDF of the book is included with your enrollment; a paperback is optional and sold separately on Amazon. The cohort is $197.
You do not need to keep up with a syllabus. You need enough curiosity to look at light a little differently.

Carol is a fine art nature photographer, longtime educator, and author of 30 Days of Light, a 30-day practice for learning to see and work with light.
She teaches in plain language, without the jargon, and makes room for honest questions. In this cohort she is there to guide the practice and help you see more of what is already in front of you.
No. It is not a gear comparison, and it will not be a dense session full of jargon, acronyms, or charts. The focus is on light and on seeing, explained in plain language.
That is fine. There is no quiz, no grading, and no required completion. The prompts are there to build a habit, not to add pressure. Come with whatever you have.
Sharing is welcome but never required. You can share a few favorites, ask questions, or watch first until you feel comfortable. The group is a supportive, non-competitive space.
