Greenthreads seem to strain against their slim, threadlike stalks, as if eager to dance with the wind. Their bright yellow blooms sway and lean across the frame, light and full of movement.
Greenthread (Thelesperma) is a native wildflower whose leaves and stems have long been brewed into tea by several Native American tribes, particularly in the Southwest. Developed in the studio with a soft, painterly touch, the image celebrates this humble plant as both graceful and quietly significant.
